Account Email Best Practices / Backup
Hi, what's the best practice for your Cloudflare account email when using Cloudflare Registrar?
I'm working with a client right now who's domain name was registered on a GoDaddy account using an email address created with that domain. Through some organizational confusion they didn't renew their domain. So they're locked out of their account. That got me thinking cause I use Cloudflare Registrar for most of my domains and my Cloudflare account email is using one of those domains.
I don't see an option for a secondary email or anything to be used if for whatever reason I can't use my account email. I know this is worst case scenario, however, are there any best practices around this or would it be best to use a random email account for Cloudflare and other registrars?

Personally, I have a gmail account attached to my Cloudflare account for worst case. Same thing at my work, there is a gmail account that is only used as a domain break glass account
Best practise for registrars in general is to never use an email on a domain for the account email of the account that holds it, because one thing going wrong means youre locked out forever as mentioned
For Cloudflare, you can invite another user with a different email address as a Super Admin if you wish
But I personally just dont use my custom domain email for my personal Cloudflare account, too much trouble than its worth
All my domains are registered under a few business accounts and their associated emails. Then, I've added my personal email address as a Super User.
