Shadow regirock deadline

So I'm very close to completing the story line that rewards shadow regirock. However, I saw the info thing(I'll link channel in comments) that said that the event was ending in a day. When the event ends will I still be able to complete the research quest? I am confused because the info says that if you claim the research you can do it by the end of season 11 but it also says that the shadow regirock ends in a day. TLDR: if I don't complete the research by tomorrow will I still have it or will my chancw of getting shadow regirock be gone?
