Issue with understanding the project members model

Hi, I am a freelance developer working with quite some clients to deploy mainly NextJS based webapps. I love the pricing scheme and simplicity of hosting here at railway so how can I approach such that my client can have a developer plan here at railway and he can add me to a project, I can make necessary edits and then he can remove me from a project if not working together anymore. The projects are not very big and we will be working together for not much time so teams plan won't make much sense here due to the cost of each seat. Is it doable ? Or subscribing to teams is absolutely necessary to add members to project ?

the teams plan is necessary because you or your clients are hosting commercial products on railway. the developer plan is soon to be renamed to the hobby plan so that it is more clear that the plan is only for hobby use cases
