Improper shading on custom leaf models
When paired together alongside Iris (1.6.4), Continuity (3.0.0-beta.2) and Complementary Reimagined (r2.2) produce broken shading on custom leaf models. I reported this to Pepper, and he asked me to also report it here.
This can be remedied by increasing Shadow Sample Quality in the shader options. However, the issue only shows up after Continuity has been installed -- lower Shadow Sample Quality does not reproduce the issue without Continuity. I've included an example screenshot, and am happy to send along the model files/textures for further confirmation if that would be helpful. I've clocked the same issue with stefanJ2's Bushy Biomes (https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/bushybiomes/), but interestingly not with Motschen's Motschen's Better Leaves ( https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/better-leaves/)

Note that this issue also happens without Continuity if Indium's always tessellate blocks option is set to true. This was tested during the initial discussion of this issue in my server.
@IMS Another person just encountered this

Alot of people do
You did?
I found that Motschen's Motschen's Better Leaves are also causing the issue for me
But switching shadow sample quality to high fixes it with both Motschen's Motschen's Better Leaves and Stay True, which is the pack I'd like to use
Does this only happen with Complementary?
If shadow quality affects it then this is probably a shader pack bug
Though it also still doesn't happen if rendering doesn't go through Indium, so it must be an Iris bug. Very confusing.
can confirm. it only happens with complementary reimagined
ik that on medium and low shadow settings, complimentary reimagined has some shadow optimizations to do with leaves
I have a bunch of different shaders downloaded, I’ll test it tomorrow
If someone could report this on Github that would be good
