fixing a snap button
Picked up an RRL denim shirt for cheap but didn't notice it has this bent snap until I got home. I've been trying to bend it with pliers but it's pretty tough and I'm thinking I'll probably tear the fabric before bending the snap. Any other ideas or should I just try to get a replacement snap?

Best advice would be to replace the snap at this point, that bad boy is pretty thrashed. I def recommend getting the punch tool, not the cheap plastic ones (and probably no need for a whole press)
Similarly, I've been wanting to put a snap into a pair of pants specifically in the middle of a Velcro patch that isn't the strongest
@wiggs.de how strong is the punch tool and do I have to like bore a hole in the fabric first
Yeahhh I've done a few snaps before, I'll just go ahead and replace it. I'll try to find some pearl snaps that match well.
@Salsa I have one of these and they’re solid. No need to cut a hole just line it up and smack it with a mallet

The plastic dritz ones work they’re just super hard to line stuff up, and they can only put snaps near fabric edges.
