Davinci Resolve No Audio
So I'm using Davinci Resolve right and I bring my media file in just to find out that theres no audio in the file. It's a fragmented mp4 so it SHOULD work. The weird thing is that Windows Media Player plays the audo.

So I remuxed it but I still have no audio
Do you have or are willing to get ffmpeg set up on your pc|
if you have it / will get it and put it in your environment path, download this bat file, put it next to your video file, and drag the video file onto it
it'll extract all the audio tracks to separate WAV files
Ok
where is the path file?
What? Are you talking about when I said to put ffmpeg in your environment path?
yeah
What audio format did you use in obs to begin with? I think one of the newer ones with frag-mp4 doesn't play so nice with resolve
In Windows search, type in
environment
and you'll see an option about editing the environment variables
In the window that opens, click the button at the bottom that says Environment variables
In that new window, you'll see two boxes. In the top one, look for a variable called Path
- click on it once, then hit the Edit
button below that box
Go to wherever you downloaded the ffmpeg.exe
file and copy the folder path (do not include ffmpeg.exe
in the path, just the folder that leads to it)
In that window, click the New
button and paste that path you copied. Hit Ok
for all the windows and close them all out
Now try to use the bat file again by dragging the video file onto itI used FFmpeg AAC
Install iTunes and use Core ya pleb but that wouldn't be the cause of the issue here
