Flashing RatOS V2.0.1 Process

Hi. I run into the same problems with the process of flashing to the Octopus. So what I did: RatOS flashed on Pi SD card Flashed on Octopus Wiring everything to the Octopus So do I have to flash again when the Pi connect to the Octopus (I have already done the wiring) , so that the configurator may input the parameters ?

Hi. Thank you for reaching out. This is my first attempt to connect the Pi and the Board but it is unclear that I should unplug everything on the board during the first configuration ? Or I can just leave all the components there?

You can try without disconnecting anything, if you have trouble, try disconnecting stuff from the control board.

Ok thank you. I’ll give it a try without frying anything. My board has been flashed with SD Card before putting everything on it. So this first configuration, the Pi will flash the Board again to input the parameters to its config. Do I understand this right?

My board has been flashed with SD Card before putting everything on it.
With RatOS compiled firmware?

With Pre-compiled Printer.bin (from BTT Github)

Right that won't do anything useful. You'll have to flash it again through RatOS, it's a guided process so just follow the steps 🙂

So. Steps by step: 1. Pi connect to Board (with all components on) 2. Flash it again (by using Configurator wizard) 3. All good to go

Oh Okay. Wish me luck. And again, thank you for the assistance. I appreciate it @miklschmidt hi there After a few trials. I run into some problem. When flashing ratos to the Octopus. Do I have to change the mcu path ? Like normal klipper guide ? And I run lsusb - it does show my board but the /dev/serial doesn’t Yeah. I think I did everything wrong without hitting reset button on the board. It’s all good. For Octopus user please remember to hit reset to flashing bin file
