Iris Installer 1.20 (Mac)

Hi I downloaded the Iris automatic installer off the Iris website (that's in the links section of this discord) and it won't open. It comes up "Unable to locate a Java Runtime." Does that mean I have to install Java separately for it to work?

Sorry for all the questions by the way, but why do you use that site instead of the offcial java one? Is it cause (from what I remember) the official one is stupidly old and terrible to navigate/look at haha.
it also uses java 8 on the "official" one
