deployment disappears after a few days
I have an active Railway and for some reason, a few days after it is deployed, all of the GitHub deployments show as "Removed" on the website and it is no longer triggerable through the URL. To make it work again, I just have to redeploy the code to GitHub (I just add in a comment somewhere and deploy it) and then it will work again for a few days.
What could be causing this? Does this happen when the Railway URL isn't getting hit enough or something?
Any help would be much appreciated.

do you have a screenshot to show what you mean
also what kind of app is this?
It is something that I set up to fire a cloud function on something called AppWrite.
I use it as a Stripe webhook.
It's nodejs.
Just redeployed so it's working right now but
in the past they would all be removed
it would just look like this?
like this
This is an old one. I remade it on a new Railway because I thought the Railway might be bugged.
what do you mean when you say "new railway" do you mean a "new deployment" or a "new service"
New service
Like a new one of these
Sorry a new project I mean
I made a new project and a new GitHub repo a month or so ago to try fix it
Figured maybe the old one was bugged or something
but it's not fixed
gotcha
seems like a bug with the platform, i will pull the team in on this one
okay thanks man
thanks as well for the quick support
really appreciate it
Flagging this thread. A team member will be with you shortly.
Any news on this?
it's the weekend and the team doesn't work on the weekends, sorry for any inconvenience
No worries.
Can I get a team member to look at this now its a weekday though? Unfortunately this is causing reliability issues with my app's payment processing so it's pretty major.
Hoping we can fix this.
@Angelo - think you could take a look at this?
Hey @samol - can you trigger a deployment with
railway up
?Where would I run that?
I am not having issues deploying, it’s just that deployments seem to “disappear”?
also thanks for coming on to help with this. Really appreciate it.
Tagging in @Cooper to take this over as I am heads down trying to get a feature. Sorry for the customer relations popcorn
Uhh, we'd need like steps to reproduce this?
Also it looks like it's still present
Please tag me in if this happens again
I mean it’s going to happen again. It would just be a matter of time?
So can’t we get ahead of the issue?
If you know how to reproduce it sure
Uh it just does it itself
So after a few days from when it was deployed it just disappears
Sets itself to Removed
This has never been reported before, so, next time it happens, please let me know and I’ll look into it
Would need to know when, exactly it happens, with a time stamp to isolate logs and look into the issue
OK. I wont notice it right away but I could tell you within a day.
I need to be able to redeploy the minute I see it though and this just feels like we're waiting for the issue to reoccur.
If I give you the timestamps of when it's happened in the past, could you investigate?
I'd need to know the timestamp of when it went down
Can’t you see when it changes information of the deployment on your end?
It requires cross correlating multiple services, and we have never seen this bug before so we need more information (how it happens, when it happens, etc) for us to have any hope in resolving it without spending a ton of time on it
So, when it happens next, note down:
- When it happened
- Information about what might have caused it
- Anything else you can think of
