Category Based Management

Is there management for leveling and multipliers based on Categories? Or is it limited exclusively to channels? I scoured the guides on the website and sought wisdom from prior questions and yet found none. Managing category level stuff tends to be easier and less lf a hassle long term, so I am hopeful yes but have seen nothing to indicate such.

No that's not something that we support, the dashboard makes it easy to add seperate channels though so not sure we're going to support it in the near future anyway

Damn. It's a pretty awesome bot overall, but that was a pretty big drawback. Thanks for the quick answer.

Why if I may ask? Like I said it's pretty easy to just add channels

Servers grow quickly, but having to manage which channels are set in the bot, especially in the early phases of a server, means a lot of back and forth. Setting blacklists and whitelists etc. based on a category removes the micromanagement aspect that having to add and remove specific channels might mean. As a practical example, having an "events" category for temporary channels, or channels moved there for one reason or another. It also adds a more broad level of support when I want to change just a subset of channels in their values etc.

Ah yeah that is a pretty good point. If you can add it to suggestions we'll add it to our todo, from the sounds of it it doesn't seem to difficult to implement with our current systems so we might be able to squeeze it in for next update but no promises
