davanci keeps quiting unexpectedly
For some reason my davinci quit and black screened my pc some reason it said it didn't detect gpu so even after I reinstalled gpu it still crashes and black screens

Sorry false alarm apparently after slrestarting pc it fixes itself
Well maybe nit it just closed ob me now
Still renders OK but somehow when I tried to play bot of video in it it crashed unless there's something just in davinci that's trying to be fixed atm I don't know
now it wont open and gives me an error
alot of wierd stuff is happening too twitch not playing streams with error saying video download cancelled and screen goes black when ii click retry for a sec
if it helps this happened after my browser gave me this page saying apps removed after resetting pc

Ok you’ve got some serious hardware issues
only happned today after that page poped up on chrome
rendering a simple video caused bsod now couldnt even read message
I mean when you can’t open browser tabs or keep WiFi/mouse/keyboard connected, editing in resolve isn’t even relevant or a reasonable expectation lol
well mouse and keyboard are working as well as broswer, just for some reason my c bsod when i tried to render which it shouldnt
also windows wants to install amd system 20.50.0 but its an old software version and it has no update option on it

Interesting I just unplugged my game harddrive from pc and now it doesn't hang on boot screen but why would that be causing it problems

Well davinci is still crashing and now task manager says discord is suspended?
if you have things other than games on the hard drive then those things could also have issues
if doing a clean windows install doesn't fix it then it's a hardware issue

open a console window as admin and run these commands:
afterwards run this, it'll say it can't run it because the drive is in use and ask if you want it to run on next reboot, say yes
chkdsk /f /r /b C:
Before you reboot, you can run that command for your other drives (replace C: with D: or whatever drive letters you have)
The chkdsk stuff will take quite some time so you'll want to reboot the system before you go to bed so it'll finish in the morning. If you're just scanning SATA or NVMe SSD's then this will be a lot shorter but could take up to an hour depending on how many drives you try to scanLike I said, you have way way too many issues to be focusing on resolve crashing as the main issue to solve lol

Run stability tests for the CPU, GPU, and memory
how long will i put stress test on gpu for
the longer you run the test the more accurate the results will be
you can run all the tests at once for like 4 hours
do it overnight if you don't want to run it during the day
i think the software only allows up to 600seconds

so far ther small tests i did says bo errors detected

no errors so far
I'll do a big test tomorrow or Saturday and see how it goes nothing showed up so far in the hr tests
davinci is still causing those black screen blinks as well as freezing discord and crashing chrome still wierd it seems to be ther only thing now csuding the problem i know it could be a hardwsre problem but tests hasnt picked up any issues
i think i noticed gpu spiked to 100% when it crashed
ye gpu crashes programme when it spikes to 100%
guess time to buy a new gpu tomorow
small updaate games work fine with gpu since it only goes to 60^ usage nut after clicking play in davinci it crashes as it goes to 100%

If restating your PC and running the memory tests again causes the black screen issues, then either change your RAM timings in the BIOS or consider getting new RAM
If you're running 4 memory sticks that's also known to be less stable than 2 sticks, 4 sticks is harder to run at the same speeds as 2 sticks

Well now you know that it's either the RAM, the motherboard's RAM connectors, or the CPU's memory controller
You can confirm that it's the memory by using Memtest86+
its wierd that it doesnt say any error detect unless that not counted as an error

Had on for 5 hours all 5 tests passed
ok so apparently resolve is having propblems with amd drivers since few days ago
causing memory leaks/issues wich explains the wierd behaviour
You can try using DDU ins safe mode and then install older drivers that don't have the issues then
the new gpu is coming tomorow anyway so ill giver the current one to a friend that needs a gpu

4070 renders at most 10 160 frames where the 5700xt rendered at 300 franes

The source files are on the same drive that you're exporting the Davinci video from? Yes that can slow down the export

no there going to c drive , but im saying the 4070 is only rendering them at 160 frame ps where the 5700xt was 300
Are you exporting with Nvenc on the 4070? Were you exporting with AMD / VCE on the 5700xt?

So you are exporting the exact same timeline with no changes between them - no different effects, extra / missing / different files, source files are from the same directory as when you were exporting it with the 5700xt, and the export is going to the same drive that the 5700xt version was being exported to?
AND you DDU'd the AMD drivers in safe mode before installing the Nvidia ones?

i did a occt power test with the ram from previous pc and 48 seconds in it bsod couldt see message it was only at top and pixelated where bottom part of screen was black with jagged colored lines
