Question: High availability?

Hi, I'm consideirng using Railway for deploying critical applications to production. By critical I mean there would be a big financial loss if those goes online. Is Railway ready for a high availability need?

Define availability. Do you mean accessible 24/7? Accessible from a variety of regions? Do those regions need low ping?

Yes, 24/7. SLA around 99,99%. Access would come mainly from Brazil. No need for a low ping, just being up.

Railway will keep your app active 24/7 so there should be no problems there. Sounds like you should be on the Teams plan, the team is beginning to enforce enterprise and non-hobbyist users to join the plan as the developer plan is only meant for hobbyists. Railway currently only provides US-West servers, but that shouldn't be an issue to Brazil. Not horrible latency

Cool! Thanks for your reply. That's the plan, if our trial works out we're going as a team. It is mentioned that team plans have a direct support line. Would that be 24/7 in case we experience any issues? I really liked your solution and I'm considering going with it before jumping to something more complex like having our own k8s setup. Feature-wise and cost-wise it looks perfect for us, but I need to be sure we can count on you guys to keep our systems up and we can have a fast line of communication in case of issues.

I can't speak to the SLA for the support line, but it's reasonable Once the enterprise plan releases (the plan above team) the SLAs will be set and will likely be much faster if that's what you're looking for

Awesome! Any ETA for that? 🙂

Unfortunately no, you're free to ask the team once you've upgraded to the teams plan
