Shaders not working
I've added the Iris Shaders mod as well as Sodium for 1.19.2, They show up in the mod list & I have shaders enabled. I placed the shader packs in the folder & they appear. I applied the shader & my Minecraft refreshed, however the shaders changed nothing. I downloaded a few that don't do anything. I downloaded one that is supposed to make everything glow, bright & everything like a disco ball & still nothing changes.
Am I missing something?

a game log would help with determining the issue
How to get a log file:
Game logs can be found in the
logs sub-directory in .minecraft on clients, or the logs sub-folder of the server directory for servers. We're probably interested in the file named latest.log, which you can drag and drop into Discord.Tag requested by Mithos23#5803
and maybe we'll need a screenshot with f3 enabled
I have exactly the same problem.
yours is probably an issue with immersive portals. immersive portals is not getting updated for older mc versions, meaning it only has iris compat for the iris version from that time
immersive portals for 1.19.2 works with iris 1.4.x
I've raised this with Immersive Portals dev on they're looking into this. They had me run through various things & tried Iris 1.5.x all the way to latest available for 1.19.2 & 1.5.2 crashes MC when I enable shaders & refuses to open there after until I remove that Iris version. Only 1.6.0 - 1.6.2 allow the client to load & shaders to be enabled. However when enabling shaders, all it does is refresh the screen like it's implemented but nothing graphical changes.
I was told to try BSL as it's compatible with Immersive Portals but still no luck. I spend hours yesterday trying around 50+ shaders & not a single one work. But I think this is an Immersive Portal issue, because shaders work as normal when I remove that mod.
tried Iris 1.5.x all the way to latest available for 1.19.2as I said, old immersive portals for 1.19.2 doesn't work with latest iris. Iris 1.4.5 for 1.19.2 should work with immersive portals, 1.5 and later do not. You can use the old version if you really need immersive portals, but you will miss out on the ability to load some shaderpacks that require newer iris features
@Mithos Yeah, but there's no way I can use 1.19.4 Immersive Portals because out of the 88 mods I run on my server, half of them are not available beyond 1.19.2 & I can't just remove them because they'll break the world beyond repair. But I will try Iris 1.4.5 Iris with 1.19.2 portals to see. But you said about missing out on some shaders. Well I've downloaded about 100 if not more, including the shaders specifically specified by Immersive Portals the BSL shaders that work with it & not a single 1 work.
not to bump a dead thread but was a solution ever found for this? is it just certain mods might break iris?
