How much storage does lossless quality need?
my ssd only 170 gb storage(that is where i installed windows 10) left. but my hard drive has 1.61 tb storage space left. is it fine attempting to test. i will delete the fine after the test. im planning to record 3440x1440 resolution for 3 minutes at least. it wouldn't overload my hard drive?
but if i delete it...will the file go to my ssd and overload it? what happens when im out of storage on my ssd?

Deleted files do not go to your Hard Drive. They exist in a really hidden folder on the drive you deleted them on, basically. The recycle bin just shows you all of those folders in one nice place.
As for Lossless quality, it will be about 7 GBs a minute. So expect a 21GB file for that test at minimum
Okay thx.. that's 4k right? Because I'm worried but I gotta take the test first
It might get higher, but yes
You do not need lossless quality
When using Nvenc, you should be using CQP rate control
For Nvenc H264, use a CQP of 16
For Nvenc HEVC, use a CQP of 18-20
For Nvenc AV1, use a CQP of 22-24
You'll save a ton of space and you will not notice a quality difference at all
