Plex "Now Playing" not working - remote machine
I run Plex on a Ubuntu server. Every other docker I have is ran on my NAS. I can't get Tautulli to show whats currently playing. Am I missing something or is this not possible?

Hi, Tautulli is not supported. Can you explain your setup? I can't help you with this little information
Plex is running on a dedicated Ubuntu server. Every other docker I have is running on my NAS. So while it’s on the same network, it’s not on the same machine.
Ok, but why are you mentioning Tautulli?
it's not supported
I thought that is how it got the now playing information. I added a Plex “app” and put in the API.
No, Tautulli won't work for that.
You need to configure the Plex app directly, not Tautulli
So Tautulli should basically be a shortcut and that’s it, correct?
Correct 👍
Gotcha. I don’t think I removed the API from Tautulli. Maybe they’re conflicting. I can see a Plex and Tautulli icon on the bottom right of the widget with a red circle around both of them.
Yes, remove the Tautulli from the integration.
Also, please read the documentation:
https://homarr.dev/docs/widgets/media-server
🎬 Media Server | Homarr Docs
The media server widget enables you to watch and view current active sessions over all your media servers.
OK, made those changes, still nothing. I read the documents and I removed from the internal and external URLs, still nothing
Can you screenshot your configuration?
Also, please check the logs for errors
Logs for Plex? From within plex?
No, logs of Homarr
Ok, logs?
Are you sure, that you run using HTTPS?
If not, use HTTP
If you do, you must ignore the certificate. Check our Documentation on how to do that
That did it.
