%AppData%\obs-studio\logs is where they are stored for future reference, so you don't need to start OBS to see them
I know, it was just the most convenient at the time
And now my GPU just restarted itself with me hearing a beep when it happened wtf
I would restart your PC and go into safe mode and make sure everything is running fine there, if not then it might be time for more digging
I'm on a laptop which is werid
think I found the issue
The things that solve 99% of computer issues:
1. Restart the computer
2. Restart the application
3. Updates
4. Uninstall and reinstall the application
Yep
Restarting the PC and updating my driver did not fix it
Is there anything plugged into the PC right now?
Besides power
Yep my clone hero guitar, facecam, microphone and external hard drive
Nothing that would really crash it as itβs as basic as it gets
Is there anything in
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\obs-studio\crashes
I think I need to reinstall windowsβ¦
File explorer found it
I mean that will fix the problem most likely, although you won't know what the root issue was
I think reinstalling OBS might also work
I found a crash file
Why is there an OBS 29.1 libobs version but the folder says OBS 28?
I have 2 versions of OBS installed
I updated one of them and forgot to update the folder name
OK, well assuming all the other files are also from OBS 29 that should be fine then
You might try posting this in the OBS Discord, but I'm looking into the error code right now
Ok
I think it has something to do with an SQL server or unhandled Win32 or C++ exception, or by an access violation encountered during exception handling
You might check the Windows error log as well
See if there is anything unusual there
But it looks like you probably just need to clean install OBS
I was told I had the Hardware GPU accelerator on
It worked before though, didn't it?
Yep
I would assume that probably wasn't it then
Still crashed with that off
Yeah, I think OBS just might need to be reinstalled. Make sure to backup everything you can of course.
If that doesn't work, then I guess it could be something to do with the 2 installs, but we can cross that bridge when we come to it.
So I tried my other install and guess what that crashed and windows explorer crashed
Hm, I would say something is up with either OBS, or just your general Windows install. See if OBS runs in safe mode, if it does then it is probably Windows and not OBS
