How much run current of tmc2209 in orbiter is best ?

The default of 0.35 is too weak to extrude the filament.
Is 1 amp max okay?
The stepper motor is hot.

You need to check which stepper is mounted.

I use 0.7 to 0.8 in my orbiter 1.5 with the 1004 stepper.

Mine also gets hot. Mounted another thermistor on the housing but I never exceed more than 55°C

The performance setting for the orbiter is 0.85 amps.
So yes, 1 amp is too much

That's peak, which makes it 0.7A rms, which is what the orbiter-1004.cfg uses. Just include it instead of the other one (which is made for another motor)

which is overcurrenting by 0.2A. Those ratings are in peak current and klipper uses RMS.

also the motor is rated for 180 degrees, it's fine at 0.7a.
