awful performance and visual glitches as of 1.6.1
I'm getting awful performance as of Iris 1.6.1
Used to get +120 frames and now I get only around 30 - that doesn't make any sense.
Tried a bunch of alternative shaders - didn't work as well as the light ones such as sildurs which is also now broken.

Yep, those shaders are all up-to-date and I even asked my friends if theirs are working to which they replied yes, they're working perfectly fine
Iris is up-to-date as well as Sodium
Btw, I'm also getting black names above players as well as weird texture glitches such as the odd looking torch you may want to check out above
Just saying: the very moment I revert back to Minecraft 1.19.3 - the previous version - I start getting my 120 FPS again , weird isn't it? It might have to do with the new Minecraft version (1.19.4) conflicting with something?
hmmm
Tried with Optifine as well - getting the same bugs though
oh 1.19.3
i was wondering before u edit
since when iris 1.6.1 can be used on older mc
Haha, I put 1.16.3 instead of 1.19.3 my bad
ah
I pinged in iris discussion
welp ims came so...
Just a mind note:
- Tried new graphics driver (AMD Adrenaline 23.4)
- Iris 1.6.2 RC is installed
- Still getting awful performance and visual glitches
(will keep updating this list)
1.6.2RC still gives me black text btw
as well as the awful decrease in performance and other random visual glitches
I'm just gonna give up for the time being as devs patch things up
I've just tested several shaders compatible with Iris and I still get the black text along with the awful performance
For some reason Optifine fixes the black text plus the performance issues I was having
this doesn't even make sense... I'm not even using other optimization mods right now...
Maybe some mods from Fabulously Optimized (the modpack) the optimization pack I'm using right now are conflicting with Iris on 1.19.4? I wonder...
Welp... nvm. There's a new visual glitch: super bright items, like I'm holding the sun on my hands
haha lol
only happens to enchanted items
... I fix a single issue, another one gets in the way. Such is the life of a Minecraft player.
