You are supposed to put the sodium and iris jar in the mods folder with the other mods
However keep in mind that iris is a fabric mod, make sure your modpack uses fabric
it looks like I already have my Iris and sodium files in there, and my mod pack uses fabric (0.14.19 for minecraft version 1.19.2)
You do have a sodium jar in the root folder of your pack as shown in the picture, could clean that up but i don't believe it has an affect in this situation
Can you screenshot your mods folder ?
alright i put that sodium into the mod folder and heres the screenshot (sorry there's so much🥲 )
Yeah no wonder it crashes
so its the crap tone of mods?
You have mods from different game versions and different mod loaders
oh- ill check that out thank you
Are you by any chance installing mod packs in a single Minecraft folder ?
no, diffrent folder but ill clean out all the diffrent verion ones
At this point it's easier to delete all do them and reinstall the pack
alright ill do that thank you!
?
All of the mods look right
Do they?
mods for 1.19 and 1.19.1 usually work on 1.19.2
and I don’t see any Forge mods
Yeah but forge mods, rubidium and others
Oh
yeah idk what that’s doing there
Flywheel-forge in the middle
And there is another mod folder inside the mods folder, who knows what's in there
Better to start fresh imo
dont worry there's nothing in that others mod folder just forgot to git rid of it, but ill try and start freash
Out of curiosity though, which modpack is that ?
Better Adventures+ with like 50 mods added onto it
Ah
That pack technically already have iris in it but it's broken due to the curseforge drama
whats the curseforge drama?
#iris-releases if you want the full story
ill check that out
But tldr iris and sodium decided to move out of curseforge and link their pages to modrinth, in response curseforge removed pages from the mods and that caused modpacks to break
oh-
The pages are now restored but iirc modpacks have to be updated with the "new" old files since the hash isn't the same
Anyway, download the modpack, put sodium and iris files in mod pack
If it crashes send the logs
But holy shit that pack has 94 mod files
If iris is causing crashes it might be compatibility with a mod or 2
Alright I'll keep updates
it works :D
Cool :D
thanks for the help
Np, careful with what you put in the mods folder
I'm curious to know how rubidium ended up in there
i think i just went on a mod high
No problem in that, just make sure the mods are for fabric
