Trial Plan to Developer plan
If the trial plan gives you 5 free dollars which last 500 hours (20 days) and I switch to the developer plan so that my server is running the remaining 10 days of the month, I will have to pay an additional 2.5 dollars per month ?

No because on the free plan you can run out of hours but not use all your credits so on the developer plan you will only pay if you use all your free credits
Yes that’s why I’m saying that on the free plan we have 500 hours that is equals to 20 days (500hours/24hours)=20 days. So if we want our server to be running the whole month we will need 10 days more (more or less). That means that we will net to pay 2,5 dollars? Half of 5 dollars cause that is equals to 20 days?
if your app uses less than 5$ in usage costs for the entire month, your app will run for free for the entire month, otherwise you will pay any costs incurred over 5$
My app already run out of hours before than the credits that’s why I’m asking. The app will always run out first of hours than credits, so I will always need to pay in a month if I want my app to run the whole month
then yes in that case, you would definitely end up paying for your usage above 5$
what kind of app is it, if you don't mind me asking?
using 5$ before 21 days means it's quite a heavy app
Okay, I’m only running a PostgreSQL database with a .NET backend
chonky app
Really?
yeah if it's using 5$ before 21 days, it sure is
no offense though
But look this
looking
My app is not running out of credits, it’s running out of hours
oh well then you weren't very clear, in that case you might be able to run for the entire month and stay under 5$
Every person will always run out of hours first than credits if you understand what I mean
How?
nah you totally could run out of credits before hours
Okay in my case that’s not happening
right so you might be able to run for free
because you get 5$ on the dev plan too, but no hour limit
But 500hs/24hs is 20 days so every month I will always run out of hours at day 20 you understand what I mean?
that only applies to the starter plan, there's no limits on the dev plan
Sure that why I’m going to change
have I cleared up your confusion?
I think I understood your point, if I change to the dev plan I will no longer have a limited hours and I’m only will paying if my credits run out? (If I run out of $5 in a month right?)
correct
Okay, very clear! Thanks and sorry for bothering
🙌🏼
no worries at all!
