handbrake not encoding
so i went to try to compress a file in handbrake but for some reason it just flat out fails before it tries to encode it. has anyone have this problem

doesnt crash just says job finished with 1 or so erros please check que for details

Can you confirm that HandBrake.Worker.exe actually exists in C:\Program Files\HandBrake?its not there oddly
Reinstall handbrake then
probably happened when i down graded to try to rip a dvd

Ye I reinstalled it and it had the missing file not Sure how went missing
im guessing the default preset in handbrake 22 is the setting without compressing to much to effect qaulity
CRF/CQP values are not the same as preset, presets are something like slow/veryslow/faster/faster/etc for H264 and HEVC
And the CRF/CQP values depend on what codec you're using
H264 / AVC looks good around 16
HEVC looks good a around 18
AV1 loosk good around 20
wierd one of my outputs came out as a file instead of a mp4
nvm mind probably forgot to add.mp4 to end of name lol

Just have to wait for them to update the version of ffmpeg they use
You could also just download and use ffmpeg to do the same stuff

Dats a lot of videos
You can use batch scripts for that
Addie has scripts for HEVC, you can change them a bit to use a hw AV1 and the right preset / CQP settings and just let it run overnight
