Unplayable lag spike caused by swapBuffers
These spikes occurs all the time while I'm moving around. There are a few things to note:
1. Doesn't happen with Optifine at all
2. All shaders are affected
3. Both multiplayer and singleplayer
4. Is still affected with the minimum amount of mods
I have searched this sever for any related information, the only thing I've found is basically: It's just your GPU is doing something else, not a bug.
My task manager observation doesn't agree with that. While the spikes are occurring, it seems like both the CPU and GPU is idling and waiting for something else (which is an inefficiency).

we do not support people pirating the game.
@IMS wdym pirating, they're literally in hypixel
then they're using TLauncher
and they need to move launcher
oh
i mean TL does let you use premium accs
but why would you
If you need recommendations for unofficial launchers we provide support for: prism launcher and gdlauncher are solid options.
the vanilla launcher works just fine as well, depending on your use case
MultiMC, ATL, Prism, Poly, Official Minecraft Launcher, TLauncher (TATER Launcher) will also work, right?
I do not know tater, but alone for being easily able to be confused with tlauncher I would never recommend it
multimc and prism are like identical for usecases outside of downloading curseforge modpacks
I thought ATL was primarily one of these "download a pre-made modpack" launchers like the curseforge, ftb and technic launchers, which I would not recommend either
Nah ATL lets you create your own instances aswell
I used it a bunch before I switched to Prism
it's TL from turikhay, not the crappy company that are exposed on the internet
well, i'll try again with a different launcher
doesn't matter, they both cause major problems and allow piracy
alright, i was able repeat the "bug" with the default launcher.

especially when i'm changing directions (aka. moving the screen with mouse) while moving around (keyboard)
keep in mind optifine is not effected by this
Please don't confuse TLauncher and TL Launcher

first of all, I'd advise updating your graphics driver and trying to plug your laptop in to make sure it still happens in optimal conditions. Sadly if the problem remains after that I'd have no idea how to resolve it.
Maybe IMS knows something, but I can't help more than that
the current driver is august 2022. I actually updated to the latest, but the latest one is buggy so i ddu'd and come back to 516.94. Updating driver is the last option for me.
i always plug in the charger btw
More things to note:
1. There's still a good amount of free VRAM
2. Both builtin Microsoft java runtime 17.0.3 and Oracle JDK 17.0.5 are affected
3. Default JVM args that come with official launcher
it's been a while since i reported this issue
is there anything i can do about it?
open an issue on github?
Now that I think about it again, I've seen issues like that caused by recording software and similar background processes in the past.
Make sure you don't have anything like that running
i ran the game with only discord in the background (which i disabled gpu accel to save vram). the only 2 monitoring software is windows defender and spark. Well, I'll try once more under absolutely perfect condition, latest drivers.
i'm unable to reproduce the issue with latest driver. Seems like it has something to do with the driver compatibility...
