why cant i hear where an enemy is coming from? i can easily do that in any other game but i cant in valo. is there a setting or sum?

HRTF enabled in the game? Audio settings is Stereo in Windows (not Mono)? If you have a surround headset, i think disabling that helps too, especially when using HRTF.
i do have a 7.1 surround headset
and i do have hrtf enabled
But disabled the surround sound in the headset software?
why would i?
and im not gonna disable it the enable it every time i switch games…

wich one to i put on mono or stereo?
I don't have anything, just relaying what I've read many others say for VAL:
1. Stereo in windows
2. Stereo in VAL
3. Enable HRTF in VAL
4. Disable surround (maybe you can exclude it just for VAL, so you don't always need to enable/disable it?)
i did all you said (expet turn off surround) and its working well
