Monitor issues on CoD and other games.
Ok so basically I own as my main monitor a samsung LC32G75TQSRXEN. I play at 2k utilizing an RTX 2060. At times and mostly on CoD I get huge inconsistency during gaming with framerates and general game fluency. Today I wanted to test the game on my old Alienware 27 inch 1080p monitor. My suspicions sadly came true...the game was indeed perfect...now I am certain is it a monitor issue and not a GPU issue. Have you guys encountered this problem?

GG @palmaurian, you just advanced to level 10 !
you are running out of vram with just 6gb of that rtx 2060. I ran into that same issue in MW2019. since its running the same engine you need to drop your settings by alot say low or medium settings if you intend to stay on 1440p. or use some dlss or fsr etc
and apparently nvidia gpus just dont like the newer cods in this game engine. it actually prefers amd gpus.
I see. In the system it says I run no more than 2GB however
The way the graphs are set
I also tested with my old 1070
Same deal
which has 8GB of RAM
use gpuz and watch the vram spikes.
dont use task manager
ok ty
I meant the CoD system
says I use 2/6 GB of RAM
just try 1440p lowest settings and see
Ok ty
granted i only play multiplayer. so i dont know how it pertains to warzone
I play MP too
I dont touch WZ
you will need to find some optimization guides or something like that. its possible your mid range gpu is just not strong enough for the game. so you may need to stick to 1080p ultra or something like that
Tried everything
literally
the fact the Alienware monitor was crisp as hell at 1080p, really blew my mind
...
Considering the Samsung is newer and more expensive and allegedly better
Maybe I could upgrade to a 2070
thye kinda cheap now
if i were you, i go rx 6600xt or 6700 etc
PCI3
not 4
sadly
if 6700 I gotta upgrade everything
?
CPU, mobo
My motherboard is a PCI 3.0
what platform?
LGA 1511
9700kf CPU
theres only a slight difference in pcie 4.0 and 3.0. you wont notice a significant difference with a pcie 4.0 gpu in 3.0 slot
its backwards compatible for a reason
then why 6700 tho and not 3060 let's say
the current engine of cod favors amd gpus as i stated earlier
Oh missed that sorry
Really?
That's interesting
Where can I get more info on that/

RX 7900 XTX Easily Beats The RTX 4080 in Warzone 2... But Why is this?
The RX 7900 XTX has landed in for benchmarking and review and I wanted to focus on one PC game in particular, and that is Call of Duty Warzone 2 (and Modern warefar 2). This game shows big gains wherever I look for the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, especially vs the Nvidia counterparts like the RTX 4080 and 4090. In fact it performs so well in this ...
