pc suddenly giving slow upload spped

So a couple of weeks ago my editing pc started to give me slow upload speeds .8mbps and struggling to give more. Last month it was ok I thought it might be bad weather but it still was giving me bad speeds. Even though my download speed is normal

Will check after work i used ccleaner to check for updates for drivers and there was one for both wifi and ethernet seems to be going slightly over 1mbps now so hopefully that was the problem ill check later when its latr in night when the upload is usually good wel right now thw wifi on phone is giving me 6.95mbps and on pc its only 1.14 something is definitly off doing a speed test from router seems to give me proper results but from speedtest.net isnt Don't suppose there's any settings that would've slowed down the connection is there

You can check the specific settings for the ethernet adapter Open Device Manager, find the ethernet device under Network Adapters, right-click it and open up the Properties window Under the Advanced tab, make sure these options have the right values (if you don't see the option then it doesn't exist for your adapter, so skip them) Maximum Number of RSS Queues: set this to the highest number available Packet Priority & VLAN set this to Packet Priority & VLAN enabled Receive Buffers set this to 512 Speed & Duplex should be set to the highest value possible. Typically the max is 1Gbps, and make sure the option you select is "full duplex" For both TCP Checksum offload (IPv4) and UDP Checksum offload (IPv4) make sure they're set to Rx & Tx Enabled. Don't worry about the IPv6 versions of those options After changing those settings, press the OK button to save those settings If you're still having issues, then you can try opening the old Control Panel by searching for it by clicking the Windows icon in the bottom left of the taskbar In there, got to Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center and click the ethernet adapter on the right side that you're connected to (usually just called Ethernet or it might have a number next to it like Ethernet 4) In the window that opens, go to Properties and make sure that Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) is unhecked

HunterAP2y ago
ok and what is the "normal" plan? what are they saying they're giving you for download and upload speeds?

i dont think it says on there site, its mobile broadband so i think the speed varies on where u are at most i can get 15 to 20 mbps download and 10 to 15 mbps upload at midnight its weird though on the router address the speedtest is giving me the full speed but on browsers its not giving me the full speed

Considering your ISP can't even guarantee consistent speeds because it's mobile broadband that gets affected by time of day wand weather, I don't think there's much you can realistically do about your upload speeds Unless you get a different ISP

probably, seems wierd its just affecting my amd pc but my intel pc was getting the full speed

The only things left to try are to download the newest drivers directly from the OEM's site (IE: if you have an Intel ethernet adapter then search for it specifically) And to try a different cable

downloaeded last update for driver and stil nothing

Trying a different cable is all that's left Are you connecting that PC directly to the router or is it going through cables in the wall
50miragaming
50miragamingOP2y ago
from directly to router
HunterAP
HunterAP2y ago
Then yeah try a different cable and a different port on the router
50miragaming
50miragamingOP2y ago
diff cable and port same speed

Might need to look into a new router

oddly enough it is a new one

If it's just your one PC that's giving you issues, and you've tried a different cable, updating the network drivers, and optimizing the settings like I mentioned above, then it's either the port on the PC or something with your browsers
