Using .exr and .png files as Custom Environments in OpenBrush
Hello,
I am a beginner TiltBrush user and I am looking for more advanced customisation options. I have a collection of .exr and .png files (30-80 MB each) that I use as backgrounds in Blender. I am wondering if there is a way to use these .exr or .png files as custom environments in OpenBrush. Is this possible?
Running on Valve Index through Steam.
Thanks,
FREQEE

Hi! Not yet, but it's something that I and a lot of other users have wanted to add for a long time 😄 would you mind adding this to #feature-suggestions instead?
A stopgap for now could be mapping the image to a sphere, and using our model importer to import that sphere as an object
Ok, that sounds promising. Can you point me to some reference material that teaches me how to do this?
Our docs on this are a bit out of date, but here : https://docs.openbrush.app/user-guide/check-out-labs-or-experimental-features#add-a-reference-image-or-3d-model
The local media library is now in the 'more tools' section
Cheers @mikesky!
