Differences in first layer between prints?

On the lfet (A) is the print from the first batch, on the right (B) is a part from the second batch, which I started right after completing the first batch. Every setting for B is exactly the same as for A. What causes the terrible first layers on B?

With the same bed mesh or a new one? On the second batch it probably was better heat soaked and thus the x axis did bend a bit more (mesh points didn’t correlate anymore with the actual bed). Another reason could be the probe mount…

New mesh (PAM) is made before each print But I was wondering the same thing about heat soak....even though the printer was thoroughly soaked prior to the first print.

Parts aren’t warped, right?

Parts are great except for the obvious

Hm, maybe check your probe (mount). That’s another obvious reason. Don’t know what else it could be right now. If there was some binding on one leadscrew during the tilt it would have been only in one corner (but pretty uncommon I guess - the binding). It’s a standard VC3.1, right?

Hm, maybe somebody else got an idea. Sure On the left part you can also see some minor artifacts on the left half (second/third layer as far as I can tell). Maybe the first layer squish was a tiny bit too much (first layer too low) and with a mesh that’s a bit off it will get worse. I would check the offset (print only the first layer) and to save time/energy 2-5 layers on others (you can print the objects in sequence - just cut them with the PS/SuSl cut feature)

You might be onto something. Heat soak together with too much layer squish could very well be the reason. I will investigate further. Thanks for your recommendations!
