if your global xp multiplier is 0.85 it means users will receive 85% of the regular xp
which is a random number between 15-40
so my members have been getting 85% more than they normally would?
or just 85% total
85% total

alright thanks
so in the case that i had:
x0.85 Global
x1.0 Role
x1.5 Role
^^ would that mean x2.5 XP rate total?
only one role multiplier will be applied per message
but the way its calculated is:
generated_xp * global_multiplier * channel_multiplier * role_multiplier
if you have multiple role multipliers, the one that is chosen depends on another setting
explained here https://docs.pepemanager.com/guides/setting-up-xp-multipliers#changing-role-multiplier-hierarchyoh so in the case i have x0.85 Global + x1.0 Role would it be x1.85?
a 1.0 multiplier isnt particularly useful
no, it would be 0.85 since the multipliers are multiplied by each other
This is why math class is important
0.85 is between 0 and 1, which means it will make the number it’s multiplied by smaller
If you multiple something by 0.5 it cuts it in half because that is the same as multiplying it by 1/2 or dividing it by 2
