PF2 Procedural Checks Macro

I want to commission a PF2 system macro that allows to automate "procedural checks" for dungeon crawl and similar games where players stop at regular intervals (doors, rooms) and do the same checks, with predefined characters rolling predefined basic actions (i.e. Seek, Pick a Lock, Force Open). An example default for a "Door" macro - Kyra Seeks - Fimbus Seeks - Merisiel Picks a Lock - Valeros Forces Open (the result is taken in account if Merisiel would fail, but this doesn't need to be automated, the DM decides what results to take) An example default for "Rummage a Room" macro - Kyra Seeks - Valeros Seeks - Fimbus Seeks - Merisiel Scouts (someone has to notice any monsters who would jump on the party due to the noise their search is making) The macro will be run by the DM, forcing each character to make the defined rolls. The results could be triggers of the standard posts in chat, though in a perfect would they would fit in their own pretty UI (this may require it to be a mod, but we can discuss expanding on both scope and payment) FULL DOCUMENTATION: https://apoapostolov.notion.site/PF2-Procedural-Checks-Macro-996bd20ace45411eb4b1f566686ecdb1 BUDGET 50$ for a full-featured customizable macro with pleasant UI (code examples will be provided to pilfer)

Hello @[Pontus] I haven't used Monk's Active Tiles because I don't go into this level of map preparation where I put rolls on the map. I would much prefer to have a macro that I will trigger from my hotbar(s) for the few highly repeated procedures. Also, what is shown here is 1 Actor making manual action to make a roll. What I want is GM forcing multiple Actors to do different things in succession.

That is closer to my goal but I am going for exact quality of life workflow for me as a DM (and probably others if they like the same way). Rather than request a check that they need to roll themselves (imagine they are AFK at this moment, we now have to wait for them) I force the linked actor (defined by exact ID) to make the roll. The rolls are multiple, maybe be multiple rolls of same actor ID with same or different actions, and are rolled in succession. Also important distinction - what I ask is for rolling PF2 actions, not skills. LMRTFY is a 5E module that has the mentality of rolling skills, but in PF2 skills are precursor to basic actions during encoutner or exploration modes. Example: Seek is a perception-based SECRET check that PF2 knows to roll blindly for the player, and the DM reads the result. Any feats that apply effects or bonuses to Seek (but not to Perception) are applied and their rules added to the action rule. With LMRTFY I can only roll Perception, cannot work with anything PF2 specific, and need to manually set it to blind every time perhaps?

Yes, I use Monk's TokenBar. Theoretically a little can be done with it because you could create a macro that launches multiple TokenBar entries in succession however TokenBar does not support PF2 Actions, it rolls only skills because it is 5E-default oriented. Probably if TokenBar was enhanced to support PF2 actions... but I don't know if IronMonk wants to support other system (unless OGL death changes his mind but IDK) Still, it's worth to ask.

Not really. From a newbie point of view, they are a skill roll under a new unique name for some reason (very good design system reason, actually). From a game design point and system automation point, they are wrappers to a skill check that can take modifications, extra rulings, bonuses and penalties from feats and effects. They also know when they need to be secret (DM only sees the result) or public. So if a player gets +1 circumstance bonus to Seek, only Perception checks made for Seek (but not Sense Motive) get that bonus.

That would be interesting approach because Monk TokenBar has super compact roll posts that are a big plus when rolling 5-6 rolls at once. The only worry is if effects applied to actions would properly apply if they are rolled behind the scenes and visualized with TokenBar. There's minor issue with the Dialog UI (there are over 30-40 actions in the whole game, methinks), Perhaps they would be a separate tab on the current attribute/skill panel in the dialog. Works for me because it would be only used on macro level, and only use the dialog to cook the macro. Other than this, just making sure that actions can be rolled silently and used for the TokenBar posts, and ensure that effects modifying them apply properly. This task has been taken by @Magus This commission has been completed, thanks to @Magus for the amazing UI polish
