I've been a dedicated Mac user all my life, but apparently Windows is better for CPA. Which one tho?
I saw a reddit thread where everyone was recommending Windows for CPA/CPP, even mac users. I know nothing about Windows laptops...so which one? I also do UX design on the side, if that matters. My budget is $4000.

Literally any laptop will get you through this course
You don't have to spend money, let alone 4k
Some classes give instructions for windows only applications but with some research you can get it done on mac/linux
I've heard that too, but I don't wanna deal with that, especially since I'm not comfortable with backend coding at all. I've heard some profs can't help you if you're having issues because they only know windows
I mean if you have the money to burn and don't want to deal with researching anything yourself
Pick any windows laptop. Anything will work
Maybe look for something with 16gb+ ram
You can borrow a Windows laptop through Seneca lending program
use a Windows VM idk
I have an m1 Mac and for dbs211 I ran into problems connecting visual studio code to the oracle database I just used my old windows laptop for that course
But it’s a pain to carry two laptops to school
I tried using parralells but I didn’t succeed in getting the connection
