Cold printer rams bed into nozzle due to leftover ooze

I've had this happen several times now and I am wondering if the correct solution is to just heat the nozzle prior to zeroing the axis or if I just need to move my BLTouch further down. My current Z-offset is 0.47. Is that too little?

If your bltouch probe is so close when triggering that a small amount of filament on the nozzle tip is extending beyond it, the bltouch is too far up. Add a couple of washers to get it down by 1mm or so for safe trigger distance.

That does sound like the best option

At rest (BLtouch pin retracted) should be 2-3mm above bed with nozzle touching the bed check your BLT docs
