You can move the world over to singleplayer where you can generate the chunks, then move lod data to multiplayer
/lodfile
For single-player, LOD data is stored in .minecraft/saves/WorldName/data/lod
For multiplayer, LOD data is stored in .minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data
thanks for the tip
if i were to do biome only chunk loading would that save details for features and full
I'm not sure what you're saying here.
The lowest detail level I'd suggest would be surface, since that preserves the general shape of terrain.
Using the surface or biome generator modes would reduce the CPU load and increase generation speed but won't change the file size.
Also DH's world generation doesn't save any terrain it generates in MC's vanilla save system.
i was asking if i could use a lower setting that runs faster to load the chunks then switch to a higher graphical setting to make it look good, i tried doing block into chunk earlier but it resulted in grid pattern when i switched back to blocks later
i just did a test trying to generate chunks with the biome generator mode though and it just never did anything
switching back to features made them generate again
changing the graphic settings won't affect the generation speed, only the generator mode (feature, surface, etc.) will effect it.
it seemed to get me a lot more area than before doing it like that, not that it mattered since they were gigantic rectangles
ill try the generator modes again to see if maybe it was a one time glitch
yea was on near first the whole time
