How are you getting destroyed, exactly?
Whenever I peek 1cm out of cover I immediately get one tapped
So mess with that.
Ask for someone to throw a flash for you, smoke it off, peek a different angle, get creative.

And how can I control recoil
Whenever I shoot it goes in random directions
Spraying is only good with certain guns and certain range. For example, if you have a vandal, you should only be spraying when its close range. For far range, counter strafe or just strafe shooting is best. It's good to start getting in the habit of doing that as you'll win a lot more fights. Basically you shoot once or twice and then walk to the left or right and then shoot again and keep doing that until you kill the opponent. If you don't understand you can always watch a youtube video about it.
