Alerts and how to add them to your overlay
From the Builder, create a new layer, and then under Layer Settings, expand the Alerts section. Once there, change the Type to Event-based and then configure your alert.
The Show time is the amount of time in milliseconds the alert will show. Start with a Show time of
5000-10000 ms (or 5-10 seconds).
The Slow-mode time will cause alerts that follow a previous alert within this time period to be ignored. Set this to 0 ms.
To add the text to your layer specific to the event, such as the follower's name or resubscribe months, expand the Content section and under Layer Text Groups, click on Add new a new text group or edit an existing text group. Under Text Group Setting and the Alert category, dynamic items specific to the alert event you have configured will be available to choose.
Test commands
Once your alerts are configured, you may test them in the Builder and while streaming by typing the following into your chat as a broadcaster:
