Multiple Replicas of Novu and GDPR
Hey all, have nearly through all the docs and starting with some small POC's of us.
Could you help me with:
1) How to scale the services on Kubernetes, are there special things to consider? Maybe something about sticky socket sessions?
2) We have customer identifying data such as the names, is the Cloud Service GDPR compliant and could I ask where the DB location is?

@dimagrossman @davidsouthmountain happy to connect with you regarding these 2 questions
Hi @lucky069 !
1. For scaling kuberentes, I would suggest having at least 2 nodes load balanced between them, and later you can scale based on the CPU/RAM usage when scaled. For socket usage we are using sticky sessions on the load balanacer.
2. Our cloud DB is located on us-east datacenter. Right now we are looking at multi-region cluster to support data residency between EU and US. Is this something that might help you? We can do a quick call to better understand your needs
@dimagrossman many thanks for your answers!
A 15min call would definitely be helpful π
1. Do we need to implement stick sessions when we are selfhosting?
2. For Cloud we would need to do something that satisfies the EU, EU datacenter is a great start
Perfect! Attaching my calendly link https://calendly.com/grossman-dima/novu-call

Regarding sticky sessions, if you would use more than 1 instance behind the load balancer, than sticky session would be needed
@Deleted User please check if this answers your questions :)
Hi @lucky069 , Did you get answers to your questions?
@Pawan Jain was supposed to have a call with Dima, but there were scheduling issues
I can take it up with him again, or do you know the answers?
Issue for us is mainly gdpr compliance, data residency in eu and how to scale novu on k8s
@lucky069, you just advanced to level 2!
Dima is right person for these questions.
I will keep this post open till then.
