Tools to convert webpage image to editable design file

Hi guys! Was wondering how to take a webpage image (eg an image generated by Eagle) and make its elements editable in a tool like Figma

Eagle as in AUTODESK Eagle?

Nah, I think Kevin covered it during one of his design process videos or something. https://eagle.cool/ Basically you can make it really easy to save images from websites and even take whole screenshots of websites

ah, so you want something that takes a screenshot of a website, and then lets you edit the HTML?

Nah, something that takes an image (like above) and allows you to edit typography and the layout of the website through a design tool like Figma I don't even know if that's possible just wondering if there's something out there for it

it's probably possible, but that's a hell of a project to undertake

Yea a ton of ML I'd assume

nah, no machine learning necessary, unless you really want to do it to screenshots and not easier captures of a website you could just capture the DOM, css, and images from an existing website, and then manipulate that, but there's all kinds of reasons why you shouldn't do that, not the least that you'd be stealing someone else's design and I'm pretty sure a prototype would be "months of full-time work for a team of engineers" project, not a "couple of weekends to learn a new framework" project

Damn, so you don't think that there's a tool that exists out there for this?

I don't know, honestly like I said, it's definitely possible (though not really realistic with raster image screenshots), but I've never heard of a tool like that

Dang 😭 someone needs to make it even though it would probably be pretty difficult. Would definitely make design work easier/more interesting. Thanks for your help!

it's better to take inspiration from other people's websites than to just copy and edit them though

Oh yeah I know; I was asking because I was looking at some of the ui-ux feedback and wanted to take their website and edit it in figma and see what I could do to improve it
