Role Parameter

So, I've read the documentation and these are the Parameter's on the site. I'm assuming it's not a thing since it's not listed but want to double check. Is there no way to add into the Level Up message what rank was awarded due to their level up?...

XP custom cooldown

Is there any way to change the time of the cooldown for gaining xp for chatting in the server and custom a custom cooldown per role? And lastly, what is the xp cooldown per message now?...

No, you can only change the global multiplier to change the general amount of XP people gain

Bot removes reward role

So I'm having this problem where the bot will remove the reward role givinafter reaching a certain level, example reward role is level five, after reaching level 10 reward role is removed by bot and givin back at level 15, I'm not sure if it's something I did but I can't figure out how to disable this. would appreciate any help

Solution:

Under "XP Role Rewards" you can see that the bot doesnt have permission to assign the level 10 role reward. You can use /config troubleshoot and the bot will list all issues you're having with permissions...

background rank image not showing

Hi! I've tried it multiple times but the background image is not showing at all. It's always the default one. When i use /background view then it does show me the image which i am using for the background, but when i use /rank then it doesn't show.

All roles deleted upon re-entry

Lurkr is not set to delete roles in my server, except that the level rewards are not stacked. It was working fine until I added a new level role which was supposed to be added for each level a reward is given, now lurkr is deleting all the roles a user is autogranted by Carlbot when they come back to the server. How is it even doing this and how do I fix it?

Hey You know when someone leaves the server and rejoins back how do I stop Lurkr automatically adding a level role onto that level as it’s bypassing the verification process...

Solution:

You can automatically reset levels from people who leave or are banned but unfortunately that's not something we considered. If they have a level on your server it would imply they've already gone through the onboarding

How do I make a level card when a user levels up?

I want to show the Avatar of the user or have a level up picture or something. But if I use the {user.avatar} thing, only a link shows up instead of the picture.

Lurkr announcing role with level up message

Hi! I was wondering if I could set up the level up message to include the role in it. An example would be, "Congrats! You have reached level 10! You are now Tier 1!"

Lurkr removing onboarding roles

Hi, I noticed earlier within my server that when Lurkr autoroles someone after 5 minutes it removes the chosen roles from the server onboarding. Is there anything I should do?

Solution:

I have been monitoring the audit log and it seems to be fixed now. Bot is only giving out the autorole 🥳

Need to setup a channel for members to check their levels

hello so i am trying to setup 2 channels one that will show the rank up announcements (locked for members) and the other one will be where the users are allowed to use the /rank command so that they can view their xps and ranks now the thing is i just want the members to be able to use only the /rank command no other bot commands can someone guide me how i can setup that for the channel permissions or something on bot config ?

Exp not being gained

I set up the levelling roles and everything that was needed to be done, but my members' exp are not being gained, regardless of them speaking in the channel that has levelling toggled. I don't know what's going on. We've synced many times.

I would recommend that you use the Dashboard to configure Lurkr and you'll want to set this setting:

Level support

How can I make level up harder in my server like it requires more xp to gain next level.

Solution:

You can adjust the Global Multiplier to a value lower than 1 (like 0.25) to make leveling more difficult

Role Mention Cooldown only working for one role at a time

I've set it up properly and followed the guide, but it will only work for the first role in the selected menu. Every role afterwards get ignored if that is in cooldown, it's like there's only one role that can get in cooldown at once. I have them all added, and the bot is at the top of the roles....

Hi, I've been dealing with an issue where the bot suddenly stopped giving xp to users (where i have everything done correctly on the dashboard),and it worked before as well, can someone help me out?

you're using a blacklist for the leveling channels, so to make sure which channels lurkr has access to, run /config debug option:Leveling Channels

Question regarding multipliers hierarchy

Since i got muted in #discussion for sending this there so i am asking here. I understand the role and channel hierarchy, but I want to know whether the multipliers stack together or if only the highest multiplier applies in case multipliers are set on both, channels and roles. For example, let’s say the global multiplier is set to x1, so you get 50 XP for 1 message. Channel A has a multiplier of x2....

Solution:

different multiplier types stack, so it would be global_multiplier * channel_multiplier * role_multiplier * xp
