Is copying a minecraft server illegal?
Hi, me and my friends used to play a minecraft server a while ago, but that server got closed and sold, after it was sold , they kept adding stuff we didnt like that ruined gameplay.
since i own a minecraft server , i wanted to know if copying their server was illegal somehow(i am italian, i dont know what the laws says tho), let me know if i can get sued

...Server Crashes when doing an Ominous Trial
Whenevre I try to do an ominous trial, the entire server crashes. The server log states something such as an exception has occured with a ticking entity. It is a spigot sever running on 1.21. Any help would be appreiciated.
Resource pack custom sounds not working for other players
I have a resource pack that contains custom sound effects and music for my minigames from the original console edition minigames. It took a while to get working but I eventually made the sound effects show up and play with /playsound and then I implemented them into my minigames. It worked great for me and made the games a lot more interesting to play, but they don't work at all for my friend. I even had him download the pack off the server, open it in a new local world with cheats, and try /playsound, but they don't even show up for him. We're both on 1.20.4 and so is my paper server. I'm really at a loss why the identical pack works for me and not him.

Would the Threadripper Pro 5975wx be too overkill for ~100 moderate MC Servers?
I want to have a machine to run around 100->200 MC servers on (not concurrently, there’s not enough threads for that), pairing that machine with 1tb of RAM, should it last? is it too overkill? I have an old build I’d be repurposing for this so im not investing anything into the CPU / hardware.
Would the CPU be sufficient for MC with its 3.6-4.5Ghz?...

I’m going to use Advanced Enchants and a plug-in so that if you hold more than one weapon in your hot bar it gives you increasing slowness.
I also want to make healer weapons to add a new dynamic.

Trying to diagnose performance issues
Hello everyone, I am trying to figure out this strange hiccup that is happening on my server(s). Chunk loading performs normally most of the time, and then it will occasionally take an extremely long time

It will just stop and hang for an undetermined amount of time. Sometimes its just a few seconds, other times its 60 seconds and the server shuts down. I am trying to figure out if there could be some bottleneck with my hosting provider, such as the network, disk, etc to cause this? The server is running on 14GB of memory and 3 cpu cores, which provides very fast chunk loading outside of these spikes. I am testing it by flying around in creative mode, but these spikes happen in regular gameplay too. This happens on vanilla but I am using fabric to utilize spark, and it also occurs there. Thanks!

Plugin to stop people from seeing structures outside the worldborder?
I have the end worldborder slowly expanding on my SMP, in order to make elytra rarer early on. Is it possible to prevent people from being able to see where all the end cities outside the border are so they can't just plan where to raid beforehand? Stopping generation outside the border would be an ideal solution.
