How do you gain an edge in the job market through resume experience only?
I'm currently on the job market after working as a nodejs/react developer and my opportunity I like to be a nodejs role. Prior to that job, I worked as a C# developer since the beginning of my career. I'm having a difficult time convincing employers that I am competent at developing in a javascript environment. I understand that having tangible projects that employers can look at is king, however, most of the work I've done are propriety and is not something I can simply share with them. I would think that resume experience alone would be enough but from what I'm understanding from Theo is that employers are valuing trust more than anything else. I'm wondering how you all are finding jobs or you have a unique approach that you are willing share. My approach doesn't seem to be working all that well, and I need to find another strategy.

Developing a UI without a design
It maybe a newbie question, and if it is I'm sorry, but how do you develop a UI without using a design reference? I find it difficult to visualize what the UI is going to look like when I'm implementing features. It can be really slow down my development speed. My original approach so that I maintain flow is essentially building the component (React, vue, etc.) using default styles so that my functionality is there and then style the components after. I'm wondering if there is a better way that doesn't interfere with flow.
