Zxcv row issues
Sadly a whole row on my nibble no longer works, zxcv ect. This was my first build so it is probably something wrong with soldering. I have checked the diode layout for the layer and then the mcu pinouts so I can check for colds but I'm a bit lost. I am using iso layout so the \ key works since it isn't apart of that row. but all of 3,0 to 3,15 isn't working

I think you’re going on the right direction. Usually it’s a connectivity issue between the MCU and the row itself if you lose a while row, which is generally (but not always) caused by a cold solder joint that’s okay at first but then splits later on.
It ain't pretty but I have re heated the solder and added a little more to make good contact
Unfortunately it's still not working so I think it might be elsewhere
I kinda wish I would've gotten some plugs so I can hotswap now instead of just soldering it to the board
You live and learn 😬
You can try to solder a wire between two points and bypass the connection to see if it fixes it — I’ll send a screenshot with which two.
Does the leftmost macro key on that row work or no?
This view is from the top. You can directly connect those two circled points with a wire to see if it works then, if so, it's the connection between the two. I have also heard of a few people having trouble with Elite-Cs, but honestly don't know if those were just random unlucky occurrences.
no the macro doesn't work
I'll have a go at jumping with a wire
Gotcha. That makes sense. Smells like something between the MCU and the board for sure then. Odd that it worked and then stopped, but such is life…
managed to get it sorted with that fix. thank you so much I really appreciate the help. I saw that you reply to almost every help request and I think thats really cool. You're doing lots of great work in here. I hope you have a great new year and I might end up purchasing the numpad too 😄
