Overcoat cost
Hey! Am visiting europe and saw a ton of people wearing overcoats like this. Im thinking of buying this particular one, its wool for 330 euros. Is that worth the price?

Do you really like it? 330 is an ok price for a wool coat, on the cheaper end tbh.
330 euros is like 375 usd, so if thats an ok price for wool then ill get it
tell us more about this coat
I am not sure, thats the only pic i have. Ideally id like to wear it in the us to be more fashionable 😂
what store was this photo taken in
Tomorrow ill have to try it on and see
Its called
Laundry industry in amsterdam
Hmm its not even on their site
what's the composition? what % of it is wool?
Sorry i shouldve taken a pic
Not sure, thats what the guy told me
Damn, if the store is open tomorrow ill take a pic and post
How long is it?
It seems a little short for that style of coat but it's hard to tell.
Where should it ideally reach?
if you are ok with used, there are a lot of vintage miUSA wool coats in good condition in the 2nd hand market in US
Yeah and in the same style. Though some are quite expensive
Personally would prefer below the knees
Depends on what you like, I love super long coats but not everyone does. Really if it’s worth it is going to come down to is it decent quality then how much you like the coat. If you just want it because this is the first coat you have seen check out other options for wool overcoats in your budget and if this one is still the favorite then go for it. That’s what I would do
Thanks guys, im not sure where locals buy their stuff from. I checked out a few stores and they dont have it
But ill see tomorrow by wearing it
Most clothing brands do some sort of overcoat. People are going to be getting them from all over
I'd look into secondhand shops in your city
Also take a look at ebay. That style of coat is a peak lapel overcoat (also search for doublebreasted)
There are some really cool brands making new overcoats too
Im worried sbout buying online esp ebay and not seeing it fit or if i dont like it
knowing your measurements is key. You can try on something similar in a store that fits you well and measure it
You can also find lots of military surplus wool coats for cheap out there
Kinda surprised they have one on display since it’s spring already. I’m late on packing my coats up.
Depending where you live, you can probably afford to wait and shop around for a few months before you’ll have a chance to wear it even. This kind of coat isn’t that hard to find, especially if you’re cool with secondhand.
Cheap clothes exist in Europe too, the ones people wear there aren't necessarily better than what's available in the US.
