Unable to install any ublue distro, exit code -11

Similar to the post posted today about code 1 error (https://discord.com/channels/1072614816579063828/1362668569376325744/1362668569376325744), I am also unable to install bazzite on my PC. I have also tried aurora and bluefin in hopes those would work so I could just rebase afterwards.
The following error occurred while installing the payload. This is a fatal error and installation will be aborted.

The command 'ostree container image deploy --sysroot=/mnt/sysimage --image=/run/install/repo/bazzite-gnome-stable --transport=oci --no-signature-verification' exited with the code -11.

I have tried most of the things OP tried, and have also tried the things wolfyreload mentioned in the other post (except for installing on a different machine, as that's not really an option for me). I have also opted for trying to install Fedora Kinoite instead, so I could rebase from there to Bazzite, and while that installation did work, rebasing to Bazzite did not work (though I no longer have the exact error message available now). - AMD Ryzen 9 5900X - AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT

As a side note, I have installed Bazzite on this PC before so I know it should definitely work (or at the very least, used to work before).

If you aren't dualbooting you can try recreating the partition table in gparted like the OP did in this ticket https://discord.com/channels/1072614816579063828/1362668569376325744

If you have virtualbox or vmware, you could point it to the raw disk and install from inside a VM potentially. Bit hacky but it works

Does that mean installing something else, running the VM there and then installing to the raw disk? Since I have 2 SSDs, I guess that means installing something like Fedora Kinoite (which seems to work for me) on disk A, running virtualbox there and then have it install Bazzite on disk B?

Oh I assumed that you had Windows installed. Yeah if you don't then that isn't really viable

Yeah, there's nothing installed at the moment

Hmmm maybe give Nobara Project a try. It's pretty similar to Bazzite.

I'd really like to try some other solutions to make bazzite work (especially since it did work before), but I am also really out of options. I'll probably try a few more things, but will consider Nobara as a last resort.

this sounds like the efi partition to me which our documentations covers make sure it's actually cleared

Kay, I'll try clearing it again, I used a gparted live disk for this purpose, which I am assuming should be fine? It looks like it is still happening, even after making sure to clear all partitions and recreating the partition table :/

Just confirming, you did make it a "gpt" partition table and not the default "msdos" one?

Yeah, gpt indeed

did you try to install silverblue and rebasing?
Furkie
FurkieOP•3d ago
I did try installing kinoite and that worked but I had trouble rebasing. I will actually try going that route again and post the error I get on rebase attempt

if you are installing bazzite-gnome you should rebase from silverblue

Ah, I did try installing bazzite kde back then. The message from post is when I tried installing bazzite-gnome in hopes it would be different.

ah just making sure you arent rebasing between de

Alright, it did fail on the first attempt on rebasing, I got an error: Bus owner changed, which I was getting whenever doing anything rpm-ostree related. So I reinstalled Kinoite again and now the rebasing into bazzite seems to have worked! Definitely strange that I was never able to get the actual installer to work properly, but at least the kinoite into bazzite route worked out in the end.

yeah the current installer is a bit "temperamental" 😅 , that is the reason the dev delayed f42 iso, they are trying to use a better one
