I'm having trouble setting up javafx

I keep getting this error message "Error: JavaFX runtime components are missing, and are required to run this application"

How are you pulling JavaFX into your project? Using a build system like Maven or Gradle or are you downloading the Jar and including it manually?

In addition to what JohtoBorn said, consider using modules (a module-info.java file)
