Voice chat not working on console

My vc had always worked until one day it just randomly stopped working, i have checked tutorials and checked all my settings but most of the tutorials are on pc with things i cant do on console. Can anyone help?

check that your mic playback sound, like to see if you can hear yourself speak using your mic, through your mic

I tried it and i could hear myself but in game it doesnt work
