My issues with Valorant started back in December/January when my GPU kept on displaying a message after loading into Val for 3mins "Display Driver Timed out". After retracing my steps I had realized the issue only started after I did these three thing in one day. Update my motherboard to the latest version (3.12), update my GPU to the latest version (Adrenalin 24.10.1), and updated windows 11 from 23HS to 24Hs. Once I realized that those where the only variables to why Val would cause my driver to timeout and freeze my pc over and over again until id restart my pc, I reverted back to my previous motherboard version, GPU version, and windows version. This had caused my drivers to no longer time out and I was able to play with no issues. Also NO other game I had played at the time had this issue.

Since my issue from 3 months ago I always made sure not to update my GPU drivers, windows, or motherboard since then. 2 days ago my PC auto updated my windows to the latest version of 24Hs and I just knew a bunch of issues where on the way and they are here. This time around my windows version was oldest version of 24Hs(no issues), GPU(Adrenalin 24.12.1)(no issues), and motherboard was on version 3.10(no issues. After my PC auto updated to the latest version of 24Hs my problems began. Valorant had started to freeze after 2 mins of being in the game only this time I'm not getting "Driver Timed out" message. If I close Val the freezing still continues and only after I hit the restart button on my pc case does the issue go away. This only happens to Valorant as i have tested other games like Apex legend, RL, and R6. This time I have use DDU and AMD util cleaner, tried 10 different drivers, updating and down grading my mother version, factory reset my Pc via cloud install and local install, going back to the latest version of 23Hs via a ISO install method, unplugging the GPU from the motherboard, swapping out DP cables, using all 3 DP on the GPU and still the issue persist.
If anyone is having the same issue lmk so we can find a solution, something about AMD gpu, windows update, and Valorant clearly dont mix well. Im opened to answering any relevant questionsCan u take a recording of the freezing in game and send it here, ty
so my issue wasnt anything about the gpu
it turns out i had to go in event manager
and then into system something idk my windows is in french
and if you had like a ton of errors and warnings about Realtek PCIe GBE family controller or something
even if you don't use ethernet
download the drivers from realtek
and you should stop having freezes
i also had the driver timing out thing
i dont know about that i just turned off the warnings and left it as it is
im pretty sure our issues are different though because im using 9000 series
and 9000 series still have an issue about overclocking themselves but its different from here
Your referring to a network issue, this is a hardware issue as it only affects AMD Gpus

Does the freezing continue if u don't have valorant open?
Like does ur windows also freeze like that
No, before I open Val my pc works normally. When I play PUBG or RL my pc works normally. When I open Val 2 mins after the freezing begins. When I close Val the freezing still continues and I fix it by hitting the reset button. Once that’s done I’m back to square one.
Yes after the freezing on Val starts
^ the issue is actually that
Dming u a link
How come? My Realtek doesn’t show it has issues? And I though that was just the internet hub they use on MBs
U could say vanguard just doesn't like very outdated drivers on ur motherboard
But why would this affect my Ethernet is I’m playing wireless? Is that something you would know by chance?
I’ve downloaded the latest driver, loading to see if the issue persists. TBH I’m not sold but if it works it works.
An outdated driver is still a outdated driver
It wouldn't matter but the driver is connected to ur motherboard directly technically
Hmm I see
So how we looking after the driver installation
Also did u restart after it finished installing
no
just try it
i had the same issue with driver timeouts
thats just some weird stuff
even if u dont use ethernet
the realtek pcie thing is gonna make u freeze if u have it
I did and it worked
J dat can u send me the link also
My friend also has the same problem
