Fullscreen game crash requires reboot to be able to use monitor again
System: bazzite-nvidia-open 41 with KDE, 5800x3d, 3080 ti, dual monitors
I'm having an issue where sometimes my WoW (installed through Lutris) game will hard freeze. The game image stays frozen on the monitor, even after hard killing (kill -9) any game related processes. I have to reboot the system to clear things up. Note: almost always happens when I'm actively using another program like Firefox on my smaller secondary monitor.
1. Is there a command line or hot key that would reset the GPU without a full reboot? Apps like discord are still running fine on the second monitor. System seems stable other than the frozen game.
2. Would it make sense to force WoW (battle.net) to go through Gamescope? As in would that either lower the chances of a freeze or make recovering without a reboot more likely?
Some more notes:
* I've tried multiple versions of proton, with the bleeding edge valve version actually seeming to crash the least
* Crashes don't seem inevitable. I've had multiple hour raids that had no problem. But other times, especially when tabbed over to a browser, it will lock up almost immediately
* I'm not in any way trying to use game mode, don't have it, this is Bazzite desktop version
