Discord push-to-talk when not in focus?
I've installed discord through flathub, but unfortunately I can't communicate with anyone without having the discord window in focus which includes games. I've had a hard time finding information on this, but it seems like the issue is related to wayland and there's no workaround? Can anyone confirm if that's true or if it's possible to use discord when it's not focused as I use it a lot for work and games and it's unusable without.

the vanilla client should be supported for this, but custom client like vesktop needs to implement it (vesktop doesnt yet)
If by vanilla client you mean the official one, then yes that is what I'm using.
Is there something I need to do in Flatseal?
no its just works ootb for me
i just tried it
Let me reinstall, thank you
btw are you using gnome or kde?
Gnome
hmm, maybe gnome have some weird global hotkey thing
i use kde
Reinstall didn't help sadly
it seems like gnome doesnt have legacy x11 support of global hotkey

4 years ago... oof
it should land in about a week or so
I'll wait it out, thanks for your help!
Just an updated, I've updated to Bazzite 42 which has Gnome 48 support for global hotkey and while in a game launched via steam I can communicate with people over discord using the global hotkey. (no config needed)
Other applications like firefox however do not recognize the global hotkey so ptt won't work when those are in focus.
