Do Carhartt WIP shorts fit like standard Carhartt shorts?

was thinking about trying on current season retail carhartt denim shorts and then ordering whatever size fit me best in the shorts on wip. i just barely don’t trust sizing up my ripstop shorts enough to feel the need to do this.
