(AMD GPU) The Last of Us Part I refuses to work.

I'm having a problem with The Last of Us Part I. My PC specs are: CPU: i5 9400F GPU: RX 570, 8GB VRAM RAM: 16GB 2400MHz I'm running Bazzite KDE (downloaded from: https://download.bazzite.gg/bazzite-stable-amd64.iso). The problem is this: when I open TLOU Part I, the game loads for a while and then crashes. I tried Proton Hotfix, Proton 9.0.4, and GE-Proton9-27. All of them have the same result (see attached image). I also tried adding gamemoderun %command% as a launch parameter. The game simply won't open. I ran the Bazzite updater and I'm on the latest version of everything. Does anyone know what it could be and how I can fix it? Thanks and best regards.

Post a proton log

Remove gamemoderun We don't include it and you never need it on modern hardware

Without gamemoderun, the game still doesn't work: it opens and then crashes with the message shown in the attached image of my first message :(. If I set gamemoderun, the game refuses to open. Regardless of whether gamemoderun is enabled or not, the game is unplayable.

If I had to guess, it's a lack of vram and missing Vulkan extensions That GPU is a little on the unsupportable side The missing Vulkan extensions make the lack of vram even worse

Could it be a lack of VRAM, even though I was able to run it on Windows before? And regarding the missing Vulkan extensions, is there any way to fix it? Could it be that the game is not recognizing all the available VRAM?

on windows you have normal DirectX no need to translate to vulkan

Well, this is weird. I started checking the VRAM usage with MangoHud and discovered the following. If I run the game only with MangoHud mangohud %command% I get 7.2GiB of VRAM in use (see the first attached image) then the game crashes with the same error as in my original post; however, if I open the game with the following launch parameters WINEDLLOVERRIDES="amd_ags_x64=n" mangohud %command%, the game shows me a message complaining about the graphics driver version (see the second attached image) and then goes back to the loading screen but with a very low VRAM usage, 4.6GiB (see the third attached image).

The drivers should be updated, since I'm using the AMD open-source drivers that come with kernel 6.13.9-103.bazzite.fc41.x86_64, am I right?

This is the log file of the game with WINEDLLOVERRIDES="amd_ags_x64=n" mangohud %command% as launch parameters. ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1888930/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Saved Games/The Last of Us Part I/log.txt:
