I understand that it’s pretty basic, but I like that the collar isn’t overly big so can be stood up like this and also that it doesn’t look elasticated anywhere.
I also like (and this is very fussy) that the pockets come in from the side rather than the top.

a harrington or 'coach' jacket would probably fit the bill.

Thank you, that first link looks exactly the sort of thing I’m after. I may still look for a slightly cheaper version though.
These are super easy to eBay. I’d suggest looking at London Fog and Polo as starting points
Yeah i just got a very similar looking Polo Harrington on Ebay for about $40
